Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**PNS-anthrax vaccine** is an Aphios preclinical anthrax vaccine formulation based on recombinant *Bacillus anthracis* protective antigen encapsulated in biodegradable polymer nanospheres manufactured using the company's solvent-minimizing SuperFluids PNS technology. The nanosphere carrier is intended to provide controlled antigen release and adjuvant activity, potentially enhancing antigen uptake and immune stimulation. In a preliminary mouse immunization study, a lyophilized rPA polymer-nanosphere preparation designated rPA-01 was formulated with Alhydrogel and administered intramuscularly before anthrax-spore challenge.
