The balm is primarily used for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with simple backache, arthritis, strains, bruises, and sprains. It is also applied to the chest to relieve discomfort from coughs and to the temples or skin to treat motion sickness and itching from insect bites.
