Adelmidrol is a synthetic analogue of the endogenous fatty acid amide palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) and acts as a modulator of mast cell activation and degranulation. By stabilizing mast cells, Podolene reduces dermo-epidermal hyper-reactivity, inflammation, and associated pain. It is typically indicated for conditions involving skin barrier impairment and inflammatory responses in the feet, helping to restore local homeostasis.
