Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Podoven is a topical formulation developed by Epitech specifically for podological applications, including the management of foot vascular and venous conditions. The product utilizes ALIAmide (Autacoid Local Inflammation Antagonism) technology, primarily through the active ingredient **adelmidrol**, a synthetic analogue of the endogenous fatty acid amide palmitoylethanolamide (PEA). Podoven is designed to modulate mast cell hyper-reactivity and dermo-epidermal inflammation, which are often implicated in the symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency and other foot-related skin disorders. By acting as a PPAR-alpha agonist and stabilizing mast cells, the formulation helps to alleviate local edema, itching, and skin reactivity in the lower limbs.
