Poieskin is an autologous, bioprinted dermo-epidermal skin substitute developed by Poietis in collaboration with Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Marseille (AP-HM). It is specifically designed for the treatment of deep complex wounds and full-thickness cutaneous defects. The product is manufactured using a high-resolution laser-assisted bioprinting technology that allows for the precise, automated arrangement of human cells and biomaterials into a structure that mimics physiological skin. As an autologous therapy, Poieskin utilizes the patient's own cells to create a graft, aiming to serve as a reproducible and effective alternative to traditional split-thickness skin grafts (STSG) while minimizing the risk of rejection and improving wound healing outcomes.
