**Poliomyelitis vaccine (Vero cell), inactivated, Sabin strains** is a trivalent prophylactic inactivated poliovirus vaccine developed and manufactured by the Institute of Medical Biology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Marketed in China as **埃必维**, it is produced by growing poliovirus types 1, 2, and 3 vaccine strains in Vero cells using microcarrier bioreactor culture, followed by purification and formaldehyde inactivation. Intramuscular vaccination presents nonreplicating poliovirus antigens to induce neutralizing antibodies against poliovirus types 1, 2, and 3, preventing poliomyelitis without the vaccine-associated paralytic poliomyelitis risk of live oral poliovirus vaccine.
