Pollinex Quattro is an ultra-short-course subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) vaccine designed for the treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis and rhinoconjunctivitis caused by grass, tree, or ragweed pollen. The formulation consists of chemically modified allergens (allergoids) that are adsorbed onto L-tyrosine to form a depot for slow release and improved tolerability. It incorporates the adjuvant monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL), which enhances efficacy by promoting a Th1-type immune response—raising allergen-specific IgG levels while dampening IgE responses during allergen exposure. The therapy is administered as four preseasonal injections and has demonstrated clinical efficacy in reducing symptoms and medication use in children, adolescents, and adults with pollen allergies[2][3][5][9].
