Pollinex Quattro Ragweed

Pollinex Quattro Ragweed is a subcutaneous, ultra–short‑course ragweed pollen allergy vaccine developed by Allergy Therapeutics for pre‑seasonal specific immunotherapy of ragweed‑induced seasonal allergic rhinitis and rhinoconjunctivitis. It contains chemically modified short ragweed (Ambrosia spp.) pollen allergens (an allergoid) adsorbed onto an L‑tyrosine depot and formulated with the adjuvant monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL), which together enhance tolerability and immunogenicity while allowing effective desensitization with only four escalating‑dose injections before the pollen season.[1][3][7][11] The vaccine acts as an immunomodulator, inducing a shift in the immune response away from IgE‑mediated Th2 reactivity toward a more tolerogenic profile with increased allergen‑specific IgG and reduced seasonal symptom and medication scores in patients with ragweed allergy.[1][3]
