Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Polper B12 is an oral metabolic reconstituent and energizer developed and marketed by Laboratorios Casasco. It is a fixed-dose combination of vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) and several amino acids, including glutamine, phosphothreonine, L-tryptophan, phosphoserine, and arginine. The amino acids in the formulation participate in intermediate metabolism and serve as precursors for neurotransmitters such as serotonin, GABA, glutamic acid, and acetylcholine. Vitamin B12 serves as an essential cofactor for myelin synthesis, nucleic acid production, and hematopoiesis. Polper B12 is approved in Argentina and other South American countries for the treatment of physical and mental asthenia, fatigue, memory and cognitive decline, convalescence, and mild depressive symptoms.
