Polyethylene glycol (PEG) + bisacodyl is a combination bowel preparation regimen used to cleanse the colon prior to medical procedures such as colonoscopy. In the context of clinical research at the Hospital Universitario de Canarias (specifically the REPREP2 trial), this regimen involves an intensive high-volume approach consisting of 4 liters of PEG solution administered in split doses, supplemented with the stimulant laxative bisacodyl and a three-day fiber-free diet.
