Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Polyplatin is an investigational **polymer-drug conjugate therapy** and platinum-based anticancer agent developed by CNPharm. It consists of a platinum cytotoxic moiety, **(dach)Pt**, conjugated to a **polyphosphazene** carrier polymer through a **cis-aconitic acid** linker, forming a PPZ-Pt conjugate that can self-assemble into nanoparticles with a mean diameter of about 55.1 nm. The therapeutic concept is to deliver a platinum payload in a so-called pain-free anticancer platform while retaining antitumor activity and reducing systemic toxicity; preclinical reports describe activity in gastric tumor models and positioning for cancers including cervical cancer, bladder cancer, and rectal cancer.
