Polyserp

Polyserp is a freeze-dried, shelf-stable, polyvalent equine F(ab')2 immunoglobulin fragment antivenom designed for use in operational and austere environments. Developed by Inosan Biopharma and marketed by Polyserp Therapeutics, it is available in two regional formulations: Polyserp Pan-Africa (POLYSERP-P) and Polyserp MENA (POLYSERP-M). Polyserp Pan-Africa is indicated for envenomations by 25 medically significant snake species in sub-Saharan Africa (including Boomslang and Atractaspis), while Polyserp MENA covers 27 species in the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. The antivenom consists of highly purified equine antibody fragments that physically bind and neutralize snake venom toxins, preventing neurotoxic, hemotoxic, and cytotoxic syndromes without requiring refrigeration.
