Polyvac Peanut

Polyvac Peanut is a novel therapeutic vaccine under development for the prevention and treatment of peanut allergy. It utilizes virus-like particle (VLP) technology by coupling recombinant peanut allergen to a virus-like particle adjuvant. This design aims to induce protective immunity while minimizing the risk of triggering allergic reactions. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that a single dose can protect against systemic anaphylaxis in sensitized animal models and that the vaccine is hypoallergenic with reduced IgE binding capacity and basophil activation compared to traditional peanut extracts.
