Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Polyvaccinum mite is a non-specific bacterial vaccine developed by IBSS Biomed S.A. (formerly Biomed-Lublin) for the prevention of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections. Formulated as intranasal drops, it contains a suspension of heat-killed bacteria commonly associated with respiratory infections. The vaccine acts as an immunostimulant, triggering both non-specific immune responses and specific immunity against the included bacterial antigens. It is typically administered in twice-yearly courses to children, adolescents, and adults to reduce the frequency and severity of respiratory infections.
