pomalidomide + prednisone

pomalidomide + prednisone is a combination therapy primarily investigated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma, especially in patients who have failed prior therapies including lenalidomide and bortezomib[3][5]. Pomalidomide is an immunomodulatory and antineoplastic agent derived from thalidomide; it enhances T-cell and NK cell-mediated immunity, inhibits production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, and demonstrates apoptotic as well as anti-angiogenic effects[2]. Prednisone is a synthetic glucocorticoid that is metabolized to its active form, prednisolone; it binds to the glucocorticoid receptor to produce anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects[4].
