Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Porcilis PRRS is a live attenuated freeze-dried vaccine for pigs, indicated for active immunization against European strains of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) virus. It aims to reduce viremia, improve reproductive performance in breeding pigs, and improve rearing results in finishing pigs by reducing morbidity, improving daily growth, and feed conversion. It was originally part of Novartis Animal Health's portfolio, which was acquired by Elanco Animal Health in 2015. However, current information indicates that MSD Animal Health is the developer and manufacturer of the vaccine.
