Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This bivalent inactivated vaccine, developed by Shen Lian Biotech, is designed to provide simultaneous protection against Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) and Streptococcosis in swine. The vaccine contains inactivated antigens from the PRRS virus (specifically the CH-1a strain) and *Streptococcus suis* (specifically the SS2-H strain). By combining these two major porcine pathogens into a single formulation, the vaccine reduces the number of required immunizations, thereby lowering animal stress and labor costs for producers. It is primarily indicated for the prevention of respiratory distress, reproductive failure, and systemic streptococcal infections in pigs. The vaccine works by inducing a humoral and cellular immune response against both the viral and bacterial components, providing broad protection against common strains found in the field.
