Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV) vaccine is a preclinical-stage veterinary vaccine being developed by The Vaccine Group (TVG). It utilizes TVG's proprietary recombinant herpesvirus viral vector platform to deliver PRRSV antigens. The vaccine is designed to protect pigs against PRRSV infection, which causes reproductive failure in sows and respiratory disease in piglets. Preclinical studies have demonstrated the induction of T-cell immunogenicity and prevention of lung disease in pigs.
