PORMÁS is a line of sports nutritional supplements developed by the Centro Nacional de Biopreparados (BioCen) in Cuba, in collaboration with Cubadeportes S.A. and the Instituto de Medicina Deportiva. This specific product line includes formulations such as 'Más Proteína' (whey protein) and 'Más Glutamina' (glutamine), designed to support muscle mass gain and enhance recovery following intense physical exertion. Whey protein serves as a high-quality protein source to stimulate muscle protein synthesis, while glutamine acts as an anti-catabolic agent to protect muscle tissue. Primarily intended for high-performance athletes, bodybuilders, and dancers, PORMÁS is the first domestically manufactured supplement of its kind in Cuba, aimed at substituting imports and meeting the specific physiological demands of athletes. The products are certified by Cuba's Instituto Nacional de Higiene, Epidemiología y Microbiología (INHEM) and validated by the Cuban Anti-Doping Laboratory.
