Poulvac Procerta HVT-IBD

Poulvac Procerta HVT-IBD is a veterinary vaccine for poultry that uses a recombinant serotype 3 turkey herpesvirus (HVT) as a vector to express the VP2 protein of infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV). This live, cell-associated vaccine is designed for active immunization of chickens and embryonated chicken eggs to reduce mortality, clinical signs, and lesions caused by Marek’s disease virus and to prevent mortality and clinical signs while reducing lesions caused by infectious bursal disease virus. The mechanism involves the expression of IBDV VP2 antigen via the non-pathogenic turkey herpesvirus vector in vaccinated birds, stimulating protective immunity against both diseases. The product is administered either subcutaneously to day-old chicks or in ovo to 18–19-day-old embryonated eggs. Developed specifically for poultry health management programs, it provides early onset protection with at least 63 days’ duration against IBDV[2][3][6][8].
