Overview
**Powerful Loquat Syrup** (also known as **Qiangli Pi Pa Lu**) is an approved traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syrup manufactured by Guizhou Yibai Women's Pharmacy (a subsidiary of Guizhou Yibai Pharmaceutical). It is formulated with a blend of herbal extracts, including loquat leaf (*Eriobotrya japonica*), poppy shell (*Papaver somniferum*), *Stemona* root, *Peucedanum* root, mulberry bark, platycodon root, and menthol. The syrup is primarily indicated for nourishing yin, astringing the lungs, suppressing coughs, and resolving phlegm, and is commonly used to treat bronchitis and chronic coughs. Due to the presence of poppy shell (which contains alkaloids such as morphine and codeine that act on opioid receptors to suppress cough), long-term or high-dose use is restricted to prevent dependency.
