pp65-shLAMP DC is an investigational therapeutic cancer vaccine designed for the treatment of glioblastoma and glioblastoma multiforme. It is a dendritic cell therapy in which patient-derived dendritic cells are loaded with messenger RNA encoding the human cytomegalovirus (CMV) matrix protein pp65 and a short-length lysosomal-associated membrane protein (shLAMP). The inclusion of LAMP targets the antigen to the lysosome for enhanced presentation via MHC class II molecules to T-cells. This process aims to stimulate a robust immune response against tumor cells expressing CMV antigens. The vaccine is administered after priming with tetanus-diphtheria toxin and has been evaluated in phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials for safety, feasibility, immunogenicity, and efficacy in patients with newly diagnosed or recurrent glioblastoma[1][2][3][5][6][7].
