Overview

PPM-100 is a preclinical-stage small molecule developed by Protheragen that targets the transcription factors IKZF1 (Ikaros) and IKZF3 (Aiolos). It is designed for the treatment of various cancers, particularly hematological malignancies. The molecule likely functions as a molecular glue, facilitating the interaction between the Cereblon (CRBN) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex and the IKZF1/3 proteins, leading to their ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation. This mechanism is analogous to immunomodulatory imide drugs (IMiDs) but aims for improved potency or selectivity.
