Overview
PR Lotion is a topical sports performance product containing sodium bicarbonate as its active ingredient, designed to be delivered transdermally to muscle tissue. Developed by AMP Human (which merged with or rebranded as Momentous), the lotion utilizes a proprietary delivery system to transport bicarbonate ions through the skin, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract to avoid the gastric distress often caused by oral bicarbonate loading. Its primary mechanism is to enhance the body's buffering capacity against metabolic acidosis by neutralizing hydrogen ions (lactic acid) produced during high-intensity exercise. This is intended to improve athletic performance, delay the onset of muscle fatigue, and support recovery by mitigating exercise-induced muscle damage and inflammation.
