PRDM-16 is an early-stage therapeutic candidate being developed by ARIZ Precision Medicine for the treatment of leukemia. It is designed to target PRDM16 (PR domain zinc finger protein 16), a member of the PRDM family of epigenetic regulators that is often dysregulated or rearranged in myeloid malignancies, such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The drug likely utilizes ARIZ's proprietary siRNA platform to inhibit the expression of PRDM16, thereby disrupting the maintenance of leukemic stem cells and inhibiting tumor growth. The program is currently in the early stages of development, with the next planned milestone being in vitro proof-of-concept (POP) studies to validate its efficacy.
