ARIZ Precision Medicine is developing a siRNA-based therapeutic targeting PRDM14 for the treatment of breast cancer, including triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). PRDM14 (PRDI-BF1 and RIZ domain zinc finger protein 14) is an epigenetic regulator and transcription factor that is overexpressed in approximately 60% of breast cancers. Its overexpression is associated with the acquisition of cancer stem cell-like properties, chemoresistance, and increased metastatic potential. The therapeutic candidate utilizes small interfering RNA (siRNA) to silence the expression of the PRDM14 gene. This siRNA is delivered using ARIZ's proprietary Targeted Nanoparticle Drug Delivery System (T-DDS), which is designed to specifically target cancer cells while minimizing off-target effects. By knocking down PRDM14, the therapy aims to inhibit tumor proliferation and restore sensitivity to conventional treatments.
