Overview
PRECIOUS-01 is a PLGA-based nanoparticle immunomodulatory nanomedicine designed for cancer immunotherapy. It encapsulates two key components: NY-ESO-1 immunogenic peptides (a tumor antigen) and an invariant natural killer T cell (iNKT) agonist, specifically IMM60 (also known as threitolceramide-6 or ThrCer6). The co-formulation aims to induce robust, targeted, and long-lasting anti-tumor immune responses by simultaneously presenting the tumor antigen to the immune system and activating iNKT cells. This dual mechanism is intended to enhance specific antitumor immunity in patients with NY-ESO-1-expressing advanced solid tumors while overcoming immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment. PRECIOUS-01 is being developed primarily for intravenous administration in patients with advanced cancers expressing NY‑ESO‑1[1][2][4][5][8].
