Precise Design CAR-T refers to an investigational chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy program developed by Ruijin Hospital (Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine) for the treatment of relapsed or refractory hematologic malignancies. The "Precise Design" approach utilizes a personalized strategy where CAR-T cells are engineered to target specific antigens—most commonly CD19, CD22, or BCMA—based on the individual patient's tumor antigen expression profile. The therapy involves the ex vivo genetic modification of autologous or allogeneic T cells to express a chimeric receptor that facilitates the recognition and lysis of malignant cells. This program is currently being evaluated in clinical trials to optimize efficacy and safety by matching the CAR-T construct to the specific biological characteristics of the patient's disease.
