PrecisePRP is a leucoreduced allogeneic pooled freeze-dried platelet-rich plasma (PRP) product designed for veterinary use, specifically for dogs and horses. It provides a species-specific source of concentrated platelets in plasma for intra-articular administration. Each vial contains 4 billion platelets at a concentration of 500,000 platelets per microliter and less than 1500 white blood cells per microliter. The product is shelf-stable at room temperature and does not require refrigeration or centrifugation prior to use—simply reconstitute with sterile water before injection. Donors are screened according to FDA CVM guidance #254, and each batch undergoes sterility, endotoxin, and potency testing. The mechanism of action involves delivering concentrated growth factors from platelets to sites of joint injury or degeneration to reduce inflammation, support cartilage repair, improve joint function, and stimulate local tissue healing processes[1][2][3][5][6][7][9]. Indications include osteoarthritis (OA), synovitis, synovial injuries due to trauma or surgery, elbow/hip dysplasia management in dogs/horses, post-surgical joint recovery support (e.g., after TPLO), immune-mediated polyarthritis (IMPA), as well as other musculoskeletal conditions[3][5][9].
