Precision cells refer to an autologous cell-based immunotherapy platform developed by the Shanghai International Medical Center. This therapy involves the isolation of a patient's peripheral blood mononuclear cells, which are then expanded and activated ex vivo to produce a population of potent anti-tumor effector cells, typically including cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells and natural killer (NK) cells. These activated cells are re-infused into the patient to enhance the systemic immune response against malignancies. Clinical development has focused on advanced solid tumors, specifically evaluating the safety and efficacy of these cells in combination with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) for hepatocellular carcinoma and in combination with chemotherapy for advanced lung cancer.
