Prednisolone + romiplostim is a combination therapy consisting of prednisolone, a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid, and romiplostim, a thrombopoietin receptor agonist peptibody. This combination is used primarily in the management of severe or refractory immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and other conditions characterized by low platelet counts, such as Evans syndrome. Prednisolone acts by suppressing immune-mediated platelet destruction through its anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects.
