A combination therapy consisting of prednisolone (a corticosteroid), sulfasalazine (a disease-modifying antirheumatic drug), and tacrolimus (a calcineurin inhibitor). This regimen is used primarily for autoimmune conditions, particularly those with interstitial lung involvement such as rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease (RA-ILD). Prednisolone reduces inflammation through multiple pathways, sulfasalazine acts as a synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD), and tacrolimus provides immunosuppression by inhibiting calcineurin, which prevents the production of interleukin-2 and the proliferation of T cells.
