Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Prefusion F is a prefusion antigen for human metapneumovirus (hMPV) that incorporates key mutations to stabilize the viral fusion (F) protein in its prefusion conformation. This antigen was licensed by Icosavax from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the University of Texas at Austin. It serves as a critical component of Icosavax's (now AstraZeneca's) bivalent virus-like particle (VLP) vaccine candidate, IVX-A12, which targets both hMPV and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).
