Overview
Pregnitinib mesylate is an orally bioavailable small molecule multi-kinase inhibitor developed by Zhejiang Medicine. It primarily targets the Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor (VEGFR) family, including VEGFR1, VEGFR2, and VEGFR3. These receptors are critical mediators of tumor angiogenesis, the process by which tumors develop a blood supply to support growth and metastasis. By inhibiting the tyrosine kinase activity of these receptors, pregnitinib mesylate blocks downstream signaling pathways, effectively suppressing the formation of new blood vessels and inhibiting tumor progression. It is currently being investigated in clinical trials for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.
