Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Premixed Lyumjev is a combination pharmaceutical product consisting of Lyumjev (a fast-acting insulin) and micro-doses of glucagon. It is being investigated for its potential to accelerate the absorption of insulin and enhance its effect on whole-body glucose consumption in patients with type 1 diabetes. The glucagon component is hypothesized to increase local subcutaneous blood flow at the injection site, thereby facilitating faster absorption of the co-administered insulin.
