PREOB

PREOB is an autologous bone cell therapy developed by Bone Therapeutics (now BioSenic) for the treatment of various orthopedic conditions, including osteonecrosis of the hip, non-union fractures, and severe osteoporosis. The product consists of a proprietary population of autologous osteoblastic cells derived from the patient's own bone marrow. These cells are processed and then either implanted directly into the bone defect (such as a necrotic lesion or fracture site) or administered via intravenous infusion to promote bone regeneration and repair. Despite reaching Phase III clinical trials for osteonecrosis, the development of PREOB was discontinued as the company shifted focus toward its allogeneic cell therapy platform.
