Pressurized Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC) is an innovative drug delivery system designed for the treatment of peritoneal metastases. This approach is often used in a bidirectional manner, combining local PIPAC treatment with systemic chemotherapy to maximize therapeutic efficacy and potentially convert unresectable disease to a state suitable for curative cytoreductive surgery.
