PrevaHAV is an inactivated hepatitis A vaccine developed and manufactured by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Incepta Vaccines). It is composed of a purified sterile suspension of the hepatitis A virus that has been cultured in human diploid cells, purified, and inactivated using formaldehyde. The vaccine is adsorbed onto aluminium hydroxide to serve as an adjuvant. PrevaHAV is indicated for active immunization against hepatitis A virus (HAV) infection and is approved for use in individuals aged 12 months and older. The standard vaccination regimen consists of two doses administered six months apart to induce protective antibody levels.
