Gamma-PN is designed to provide broad-spectrum, serotype-independent protection against *Streptococcus pneumoniae* by utilizing gamma-irradiated bacteria to expose conserved internal proteins. This approach differs from conjugate vaccines like Prevenar 13, which target specific capsular polysaccharides. Gamma-PN is intended for the prevention of pneumonia, bacteremia, meningitis, and otitis media.
