Previfenon is a pharmaceutical drug containing 250 mg of epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) with ≥ 98% purity, along with carefully selected excipients designed to improve flowability, stabilize EGCG against early auto-oxidation, and increase its hepatoprotective activity with prolonged use. Developed by MELISA Institute Genomics & Proteomics Research SpA, it is being investigated as a pre-exposure chemoprophylaxis against SARS-CoV-2 to prevent COVID-19, enhance systemic immunity, and reduce the frequency and intensity of associated symptoms.
