Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PRG2505 (also known as V001 Injection) is an investigational *in vivo* chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy. Developed by Pregene Biotech, it represents a significant shift from traditional CAR-T therapies by utilizing a delivery vector to genetically modify a patient's T cells directly within their own body. This *in vivo* approach aims to bypass the complex, costly, and time-consuming *ex vivo* manufacturing processes typically required for CAR-T cell production. By generating CAR-T cells internally, the therapy seeks to reduce the time to treatment and improve patient access. PRG2505 is currently being evaluated in clinical trials, including the PLATFORM2 phase I/II study sponsored by the Cancer Institute and Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, specifically targeting patients with advanced and rare solid tumors who have limited standard treatment options.
