Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PrimePro is a therapeutic candidate under development by Thomas Advanced Medical. It consists of mesenchymal stem cells derived from human umbilical cord. The drug is administered via the intravenous route and is being investigated for a broad spectrum of conditions, including coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), various autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular disorders, complications arising from diabetes, integumentary diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, pulmonary disorders, sexual dysfunction, urologic disorders, and other viral illnesses. Its mechanism of action is believed to involve the regenerative and immunomodulatory properties inherent to mesenchymal stem cells, which can contribute to tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and modulate immune responses.
