Primofenac

Primofenac is a topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) formulation developed and marketed by Streuli Pharma. It contains 1% diclofenac sodium in an emulsion gel base, which provides a soothing and cooling effect upon application. Primofenac is approved in Switzerland for the local treatment of pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with sports injuries and accidents (such as sprains, strains, and contusions), localized forms of extra-articular rheumatism (including tendinitis, bursitis, and shoulder-hand syndrome), and for the symptomatic relief of osteoarthritis in small and medium-sized joints close to the skin (such as the fingers or knees).
