Overview

PRM-167 is a recombinant human Pentraxin-2 (PTX-2) variant engineered and formulated for intravitreal administration as an antifibrotic biologic targeting fibrovascular diseases of the eye, including age-related macular degeneration and proliferative vitreoretinopathy. It is designed to modulate pathological fibrocyte differentiation and profibrotic macrophage activity, thereby limiting aberrant scarring and fibrosis at the vitreoretinal interface. Initially developed by Promedior and later advanced by Roche following its acquisition of Promedior, PRM-167 extends the systemic antifibrotic biology of PRM-151 into a retina-focused ophthalmic program and remains in preclinical development for sight-threatening fibrovascular retinal disorders.[3][5][7][11][13]
