PRM1201

**PRM1201** is an orally administered, seven-herb traditional Chinese medicine formula developed as an adjunct to systemic treatment for colorectal cancer. Its herbal constituents are *Ligustrum lucidum* fruit, *Cistanche deserticola* herb, *Iphigenia indica* pseudobulb, *Vitis quinquangularis* vine, *Panax ginseng* root, *Akebia trifoliata* fruit, and *Salvia miltiorrhiza* root. In a randomized, double-blind study in patients with resected stage III colon cancer, PRM1201 given with adjuvant FOLFOX or CapeOx was associated with improved 3-year disease-free survival versus placebo plus chemotherapy. Preclinical and translational research suggests that its antimetastatic activity may involve remodeling of the gut microbiota, increased short-chain fatty acid production, reduced histone deacetylation, and suppression of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition; no single direct molecular target has been established.
