Overview

PRO-206 is an orally active small-molecule drug candidate designed to inhibit the entry of the Hepatitis C virus (HCV) into host cells. Developed by Prosetta Antiviral, the compound is intended to block the initial stage of the viral life cycle, thereby preventing the establishment of infection within hepatocytes. This mechanism of action is distinct from many standard-of-care direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) that target viral replication enzymes. PRO-206 is currently in the preclinical stage of development for the treatment of Hepatitis C infection.
