**Probacine** is an investigational oral intestinal microbiota transplant capsule product being studied by Nanjing Medical University as a perioperative gut-microbiome intervention in adults undergoing cardiovascular surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass. In the randomized, double-blind PANDA IV study, it is administered three times daily immediately after surgery for at least 7 days alongside standard care, with the aim of mitigating adverse postoperative gut metabolic changes and organ dysfunction through restoration or modulation of intestinal microbial ecology.
