Overview

Probio is a probiotic dietary supplement developed and marketed by the Spanish pharmaceutical company Laboratorios Q Pharma. Often referred to by the name Biolactams, which represents its proprietary probiotic blend, the product is designed to restore and maintain a healthy balance of intestinal and vaginal microbiota. It typically contains live cultures of lactic acid bacteria, such as *Lactobacillus rhamnosus* and *Lactobacillus acidophilus*. These beneficial microorganisms work by colonizing mucosal surfaces, producing lactic acid to lower local pH, and competing with pathogenic bacteria and yeast for nutrients and adhesion sites.
