Overview
Probio-X is a multi-strain probiotic formulation developed by Beijing Scitop Biotech. It comprises five distinct probiotic strains: Lactobacillus casei Zhang, Bifidobacterium lactis V9, Lactobacillus plantarum P-8, Lactobacillus rhamnosus Probio-M9, and Bifidobacterium lactis Probio-M8. Probio-X is designed to support intestinal and mental health, particularly in individuals undergoing long sea voyages, by maintaining gut microbiota homeostasis and relieving anxiety and stress. Additionally, clinical studies have investigated Probio-X as an adjunctive therapy for metabolic conditions, demonstrating its potential to alleviate symptoms of hyperlipidemia and enhance the therapeutic efficacy of metformin in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus by modulating gut microbiota, short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), and bile acid pathways.
