Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A synbiotic combination consisting of the i3.1 probiotic blend and the ProSeed prebiotic fiber. The i3.1 component is a specific mixture of three bacterial strains: *Lactobacillus plantarum* CECT 7484, *Lactobacillus plantarum* CECT 7485, and *Pediococcus acidilactici* CECT 7483. The ProSeed component consists of partially hydrolyzed guar gum (PHGG), a soluble prebiotic fiber. This combination is primarily indicated for the management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), where it acts by modulating the intestinal microbiota, improving stool consistency, and reducing visceral hypersensitivity and intestinal inflammation. The probiotic strains were selected for their high adherence to the intestinal epithelium and their ability to produce short-chain fatty acids, which support gut barrier function.
